The Panasonic TZ10 Is Top Quality

Panasonic’s TZ-series compact superzooms have always been very popular travel cameras. The new Panasonic TZ10 replaces it’s predecessor, the TZ7 and boasts some new and improved features.

Lumix TZ10 Design

The rear of the camera body has a simple five button design for quick menu and function access aswell as an impressive 3in LCD screen. Also on the rear of the TZ10 is a Q-button for common feature adjustment and separate buttons for access to film making and exposure. The mode dial and shoot button are located on the top of the camera, alongside the GPS antenna.

Lumix TZ10 Performance

The Panasonic TZ10 is a eal pleasure to use, with it’s simple and thoughful layout of menus and modes. The 25mm wide angle setting coupled with the impressive zoom also makes it extremely versatile. Image quality is outstanding at the lowest ISO settings and detail stands up pretty well up to ISO 800. For the best sharpness images you should keep the ISO settings as low as possible, especially if you are wanting larger prints. To assist in reducing the need to adjust the ISO settings, the Panasonic TZ10 is equipped with a good quality flash and the Power O.I.S image stabilisation system.

With the aid of a built-in stereo mic, the Panasonic TZ10 can also shoot 720p HD video, which look and sound fantastic.  

Lumix TZ10 GPS

A GPS system may at first seem a strange thing to have on a camera, but it really comes into it’s own when taking photographs while on holidays. The GPS system will pinpoint your position and tag your images with longitude and latitude points. This feature is especially handy when you are travelling and want to make a note of where you were when the photo was taken. Also the camera has over 500,000 landmarks in over 70 countries preloaded onto it.

Overall the Lumix TZ10 does exactly what it was designed to do. It provides massive versatility for the photographer that wants more than just a clever snapper. It’s more than capable of producing real quality images, while remaining simple to use.
